Mirror Cam Way Assauto: the new solution for the safety of industrial vehicles

Presented at Transpotec Logitech in Milan, the new range of Mirror Cam Way Assauto represents an important step forward in the growth path of the company, which expands its offering by entering the food sector digital vision systems for trucks, buses and campers.

Always a point of reference in the furniture market shock absorbers for industrial vehicles, Way Assauto continues its path of diversification by combining solutions dedicated to suspensions, air springs, seats and braking systems with a new line of technologies designed to increase driving safety, comfort and control of the surrounding environment.

Mirror Cam systems for blind spot monitoring

The evolution of the transport sector and the increase in traffic in urban areas make it increasingly important to adopt technologies capable of improving the driver's visibility and reducing risks while driving.

It was created to meet these needs Mirror Way, the new system Mirror Cam for trucks and industrial vehicles developed by Way Assauto. Presented during the Milan trade fair, this technology was designed to increase the active safety of the vehicle through constant monitoring of areas not directly visible to the driver.

In fact, the system allows real-time control of the lateral, front and rear blind spots, which are particularly critical during low-speed manoeuvres, parking operations and in urban contexts with high traffic density.

The objective is twofold: on the one hand to improve the perception of the surrounding environment and reduce the risk of collisions with pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles; on the other hand, offering more intuitive and comfortable driving thanks to the integration of images in an advanced digital system.

MirrorWay S: HD cameras for a complete side view

The heart of the system is represented by Mirror Way S, a solution consisting of a dual HD camera designed to replace and integrate traditional mirrors.

The cameras, certified according to the regulations UN ECE R46, have a field of vision compliant with classes II and IV and allow precise monitoring of the lateral areas of the vehicle. Thanks to this configuration, the driver can more easily identify pedestrians, cyclists, obstacles and vehicles present in areas that are normally more difficult to control.

To support safety, there is also an acoustic warning system that warns the driver in the presence of potential risk situations.

From a design point of view, the aerodynamic design of the cameras also helps reduce air resistance and can help reduce fuel consumption by up to 2%.

High performance in all weather conditions

MirrorWay S cameras integrate the technology HLC (High Light Compensation), developed to guarantee clear and easily readable images both in the presence of strong brightness and in low light conditions.

The system has been designed to maintain high performance even in the event of intense rain, fog, snow or particularly cold temperatures. The integrated automatic heating ensures full operation of the cameras even during the winter season, avoiding fogging and ice accumulations.

Intelligent HD monitor for more comfortable driving

Inside the cockpit, images are displayed through a Anti-glare HD monitor designed to ensure clear and immediate reading of information.

The display is equipped with automatic brightness adjustment, a function that allows the display to be adapted to different light conditions and reduces the driver's visual fatigue during long journeys.

The monitor also integrates an SD slot of up to 256 GB which allows the recording and archiving of video content, offering a useful tool both for operational management and for any subsequent checks.

Mirror Way F: the front camera that eliminates blind spots

The MirrorWay range is completed with Mirror Way F, the front camera developed to replace class V and VI mirrors and further improve visibility in the front areas of the vehicle.

Thanks to this solution, the driver can eliminate frontal blind spots and obtain more complete control of the surrounding space, increasing safety during maneuvers and circulation in the most complex contexts.

Mirror Way F, like all the components in the range, is also certified according to the regulations UN ECE R46, confirming the high quality and safety standards adopted by Way Assauto.

Way Assauto expands its offer with Mirror Cam systems

With the introduction of the new range Mirror Cam for trucks, buses and campers, Way Assauto confirms its desire to offer increasingly complete and innovative solutions for the industrial vehicle sector.

From shock absorbers to digital vision systems, through air springs, seats and braking components, the company continues to invest in the development of technologies capable of improving safety, reliability, efficiency and driving comfort.

The new MirrorWay line represents a further step in this direction, providing drivers, fleets and transport professionals with an advanced solution for monitoring blind spots and protecting road users.
